Holland Lop

What is a Holland Lop?

These cute and cuddly bunnies have become a very popular breed thanks to their sweet nature and good temperament. They are a favored breed to have as a pet as they are very good with children that are old enough to know how to handle a small animal correctly. Weighing only three to four pounds full grown, these cute little hoppers have floppy ears and will fit well into most homes.

Fortunately, the Holland Lop rabbit does not have very high care needs and is an easy-going rabbit. However do no let that fool you as with any animal they need daily care and love and affection. Please do no confuse holland lop with the mini lop, these are two totally different bunnies. Mini lops are bigger by 3-5 lbs, they have longer ears, longer faces and they do not have the short stacked bodies a holland lop has. I do not raise mini lops, and despite their name they are not a dwarf breed or a mini which makes it very confusing for some. All rabbits are naturally prey animals so unless they are handled daily they may not like to be picked up. When they don't have all four feet on the ground they don't feel like they can escape, so that is why some might not enjoy being picked up or held. We hold our babies from day one but every bunny is different and will have their own unique temperament. A holland lop will shed/molt at least twice a year and will need to be brushed or combed to help it fall out faster. Rabbits are easily potty trained and we start them all of right learning how and when to use the litter pan. Our pans we make specially here and can not be purchased in stores. The pans are designed to keep their feet and bottom clean and dry and easy for you to clean and dump and can be clipped to the cage to stay in one spot. Both males and females make wonderful pets, however if they are not spayed or neutered they can become temperamental or regress in litter training if they are not fixed. Our hollands come in a variety of colors so please look around on here: https://www.shannonslovedlops.com/bunnies-for-sale

Mini Plush Lop

What is a Mini Plush Lop?

A mini plush lop has the same personality, temperament and size of a holland lop.  The difference between them is their coat and body structure is different. Most will have a soft, dense and velvety to the touch coat. Some coats may vary depending on lines but most all of mine end up with the velvet coat as I strive for the breed standard. They do not have dander and shed less than other breeds making them and ideal pet for those with allergies. They are a calm breed, however I have had a select few males that are full of energy and love attention. They will be 3-4 lbs full grown and are a dwarf breed. My herd has so far tested to be all true dwarfs and all of my babies are out of the original Devie D'anniballe lines, I did not cross breed to create them as she had already done all of the work. Please do no confuse the mini plush lop with the mini lop, these are two totally different bunnies. Mini lops are bigger by 3-5 lbs, they have longer ears and they do not have the plush coats like my mini plush lops. I do not raise mini lops, and despite their name they are not a dwarf breed.  You can find available mini plush lops under the bunnies for sale tab, be sure to scroll down and click load more. You must also have an adoption application submitted and agree to all terms under my sales policy before inquiring.
